What I have found out so far is that there are a few simple things I can do to support it with daily activities. While the jury may still be out on the idea that deodorants may add to the toxic load that our system has to deal with.
I for one, once I realized how many chemicals we use on our bodies every day, I nearly went into shock. Depending on how much make up, face, hair & body products we use that could add up very quickly not to mention all the chemicals in our foods that we take in.
This was a true turning point for me to limit my intake as much as possible.
As I started looking at ways to reduce chemicals, I started with using a over the counter natural deodorant. Then I decided to take it a step further and make my own.Adding Melaleuca (Tea-Tree) and Frankincense is a good place to start. I put all of the listed essential oils in mine just so I know I am getting a mixture of support my everyday health. Experiment with the oils and find a blend that feels right for you. Our chemistry is unique and so should our choices.
I want to encourage all of us to find the little things that we can do to empower ourselves to regain what we really put into our bodies.
Using a 2 oz glass roller bottle, I added a few drops (3 to 5 ) each of Melaleuca , Lemongrass, Lavender, Marjoram, Thyme, Cedarwood, Ginger, Juniper berry, Rosemary, Clary Sage, and Helichrysum & Frankincense . Just to add a "pretty smell to it all Ylang Ylang. Then I topped it off with Coconut Oil and/or olive oil, shake well before each use.. For extra added support consider using Magnesium oil too.
