Wash those chemicals right out of my hair

When I decided that I wanted to elimanate even more chemicals out of my daily routine I decided to do some research on recipes for shampoos. I learned early on that making products at home does not mean it will be cheaper by any means but I will trade cost over peace of mind any day as long as I am able.  These ingredients are the most common  for a basic recipe.
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup liquid Castile soap
  • 1/4 cup canned coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp fractionated coconut oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp Vitamin E oil
  • empty shampoo bottle
Where the real fun comes in is when we start adding the essential oils to the basic recipe. most suggestions on the internet is to use any where from 40 to 50  or more drops per recipe. This is where your own judgment and creativity comes in. After you have chosen the oil/s that you want to add, shake well and shampoo away!
I personally can not get enough peppermint and rosemary aromas in my life so these two oils are the ones I tend to lean towards but the sky is the limit here.

If you are wanting to treat specific conditions here are a couple of suggestions that I have found on the internet.

For dandruff: 10 drops each lemon, lavender, melaleuca(teatree) and rosemary essential oils

For fragile hair: 20 drops clary sage, 15 drops lavender & 15 drops wild orange essential oils

For hair loss: 10 drops each rosemary, peppermint, cedarwood and lavender essential oils
