When I decided that I wanted to elimanate even more chemicals out of my daily routine I decided to do some research on recipes for shampoos. I learned early on that making products at home does not mean it will be cheaper by any means but I will trade cost over peace of mind any day as long as I am able. These ingredients are the most common for a basic recipe.

I personally can not get enough peppermint and rosemary aromas in my life so these two oils are the ones I tend to lean towards but the sky is the limit here.
If you are wanting to treat specific conditions here are a couple of suggestions that I have found on the internet.
For dandruff: 10 drops each lemon, lavender, melaleuca(teatree) and rosemary essential oils
For fragile hair: 20 drops clary sage, 15 drops lavender & 15 drops wild orange essential oils
For hair loss: 10 drops each rosemary, peppermint, cedarwood and lavender essential oils

- 1/4 cup canned coconut milk
- 2 tbsp fractionated coconut oil or avocado oil
- 1 tbsp Vitamin E oil
- empty shampoo bottle
