I don't think I have met anyone yet that does not like fall. Oh and those dramatic colors that the season offers. Fall has filled with reassurances that it is ok to slow down, to breath deeper. Pumpkins and everything you can make with them. Or could it be the wonderful memories of past holidays and those that are soon to come, such as Halloween or festivals and then there is Thanksgiving day, which is often the eve of Winter festivities of all kinds.
Photo Heart Connection is a one a month exchange
of pictures that we share with each other in the group and try to express how that picture touched our heart in the month that it was taken…
September was full of beautiful photographs for
me. I had a very unique experience at the bay front when taking sunrise pictures last month.
As I hurried to catch the 1st glimpse of sun rising, two strangers in there 50’s, stopped and asked me what I was doing… I said catching the sun rise so
that I can share it with my blog world. They stood and watched. Then in the most surprising tone, one of them said, look it really looks like it is rising.
It took everything I had to not laugh. Then the other one said “ I guess we don’t ever really see that at home, I think this is the 1st time I have ever really seen and watched the sun rise."
Having lived here on the coast all of my life I couldn’t and can’t imagine not seeing the sun rise
and set on any given day. They both said a sincere thank you… Goose bumps came
over me then as it does now retelling of this event.
The experience has forever changed how I look at such everyday events. I later found out that day that many people especially up north where the horizon is obscured, that they really don’t get to watch the sun rise… We are blessed when the sun rises like liquid molten .. Simply amazing. May we never take such beautiful events for granted.
