I promise overall I am doing well and spirits are good... but just wanted to share
While 1st round was an eye opener on having my energy zapped...I accepted it pretty well. Was thinking my blood work would come back showing I had fared well. well not exactly... So while at the drs I am waiting to get the results and hear that my white blood count is critically low and that I would need shots to boast them, which is quite normal. Once I get off the examining table my head decides it wants to leave a patch of hair on table to remind me how real this is going to get..so I wait for the 1st of 3 that I need to get. no reactions, yippee, I am then on my way home, excited that I skated through that well enough. I had been warned that I may have some flu like symptoms and may experience pain in my chest but that was normal, so very glad they shared this info with me. a couple of hours later these " white blood cell boaster shots" will down right kick you in the bottom. The shot has been harder on me, than 7 hours of chemo, go figure. It has been like no flu I have ever had and the throbbing in my chest, yikes... anyway between that and my hair shedding this weekend I think I am doing pretty well. Tomorrow if I have enough energy we will go get my head shaved... and then on Monday & Tuesday I get to go back to CC for shots 2 & 3... Thursday more labs and on Friday my 2nd round of chemo... I heard today that Mihomid ali passed away and it made me think there are 9 rounds in boxing right?, sure glad I only have 5 more rounds of all of this and one round behind me.
