ACKNOWLEDGE that they are in pain. This simple acknowledgement can often times be a turning point for them. We never really know what is going on with someone when the chips are down, but this act of kindness can go such a long way and even change their whole perspective about the holidays with just a few gentle words of encouragement.
I recently heard this statement from a you-tube video and wanted to share. " Pain too is part of the Divine's expression of Perfection". If each one of us thinks back about how we worked though our own pain, we normally would have to also admit that we grew spiritually as a result of working though that painful time. It's that working though that can seem like a tunnel with no light at the end... be that Light for them as they work through that tunnel. Chances are they may have been that light for you in and forged your friendship to grow stronger?
